2023 elections not credible, Says Davido

David Adeleke, best known by his stage as Davido, claims that the general elections of 2023 were not fair.
This was said by the Dami Duro singer during a recent interview with Beat 99.9FM in Lagos.
Following the passing of his son Ifeanyi, Davido took a 6-month social media hiatus, but he later said that if he had been online, he would have been outspoken about the elections.
He remarked that he was pleased with the low voter turnout and added that voting security is important.
“I’m glad that people weren’t actually coming out,” he stated. You know I would have been quite loud about the election if I had been online. I have always made my opinions known.
“But, I must admit that I was pleased with the result of the election.” Just being honest, that.
That’s how things are. Nonetheless, I don’t think that was a really credible election. Do you understand what I mean? The protection of everyone’s lives is what matters most in my opinion. Overall though, it wasn’t everything. I doubt I’ll be able to conceal it, then. I can’t conceal that,”
