Adewale Mayowa Emmanuel, also known as Mayorkun, is a well-known musician who has encouraged members of the National Assembly to make sure that Nigerian roads are restored rather than purchasing new cars for themselves.
Recall that a variety of Nigerians have expressed disapproval over the purchase of 2023 Toyota Prado models for 469 Assembly members.
In a conversation with media, Sunday Karimi, the chairman of the Senate Committee on Services, defended the purchase of the cars by stating that “Nigerian roads are bad.”
Singer Mayorkun responded by urging politicians to improve Nigerian roads rather than purchase cars for themselves on his Snapchat feed.
“Road no good, una dey buy new SUV,” he wrote.
