Nigerian govt pledges support for women in creative industry

According to Hannatu Musawa, Minister of Art, Culture, and Creative Economy, the Federal Government would fund projects and programs that empower women by helping them develop their creative abilities.

The Minister made these remarks on Friday in Abuja during a courtesy visit from staff members of the Business Day Media Foundation and Terra Culture Academy for Arts.

She expressed the ministry’s desire for advancing the creative industry and said it is a major force behind solving young unemployment and women’s empowerment.

“I am very passionate about gender mainstreaming across the nexus of the Creative Economy, so please accept my warmest greetings to the organizing team of the Women Creative Summit for this important initiative,” the speaker stated.
