After beginning to follow the rapidly growing Igbo rapper Jeriq in Nigeria on Instagram, the country’s most renowned Afrobeat musician, Davido, has made another significant step toward supporting up-and-coming promising talent.

Jeriq, an up-and-coming rapper from the East with a sizable fan following, has achieved tremendous success in the Igbo Rap genre.

Despite reaching this pinnacle, he still just required a tiny bit of light to show the world his brilliance, which peaked once Zlatan Ibile highlighted him.

Without hesitation, Davido was drawn to him by his talent and Facetimed and followed him on Instagram.

Jeriq responded to this by posting the evidence on his Twitter account, which sparked strong emotions among Nigerians.
