Court grants Atiku, two others permission to serve Tinubu petition

Atiku Abubakar of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has been given permission by the Presidential Election Petition Court (PEPC) to serve petitions on Bola Tinubu via the APC (APC).

Peter Obi of the Labour Party was given permission to serve Kashim Shettima and Kabir Masari with petitions by a three-member panel that met in Abuja on Friday and was presided over by Justice Haruna Tsammani.

When making decisions on three separate ex parte applications submitted by Atiku and the PDP; Obi and the LP; and the Allied Peoples Movement, the three-member panel approved the request (APM).

Mr. Eyitayo Jegede, SAN, who was arguing the motion on behalf of Atiku and the PDP, asked the court to give his client permission to serve the petition and other related documents on the respondents through the APC.

In his defense of the APM, Mr. Oyetola Atoyebi, SAN, also requested permission from the court to serve Tinubu, Shettima, and Masari using the APC.
