According to former Aston Villa striker Gabriel Agbonlahor, Victor Osimhen would be a valuable addition to the Chelsea squad as they undergo a squad overhaul and sell some regular stars to Premier League rivals.
In an effort to strengthen their team, Mauricio Pochettino’s side has already acquired Christopher Nkunku and Nicholas Jackson.
However, Agbonlahor believes that Chelsea still requires a player of Osimhen’s caliber in their ranks, emphasizing the need for a reliable striker.

“Chelsea still needs a genuine striker. I admired Romelu Lukaku during his time at Everton. Many teams in the league require such a player,” Agbonlahor shared with Football Insider.
He further added, “Victor Osimhen would be a good choice, but the reported price tag of around £170 million is excessive.”
During the 2022/23 season, the 24-year-old Nigerian forward enjoyed tremendous success, contributing significantly to Napoli’s first Scudetto triumph in 33 years. Osimhen emerged as the top scorer in Serie A, netting 26 goals in 32 appearances.
