The Assembly Complex Arson Attack and Wike and Fubara Clash: Rivers APC’s Reaction
The All Progressives Congress (APC) chapter in Rivers State has strongly condemned the damage of public property at the State Assembly premises.
According to NewsNow, the state assembly’s chambers were the target of an arson assault on Sunday night.
The APC, the state’s opposition party, has called this occurrence a desecration of the legislature.
The Rivers APC spokesperson, Darlington Nwauju, issued a warning to political players, cautioning them not to let their political aspirations compromise the state’s precarious security.
According to the statement, “We had previously alerted the people of Rivers about the unpatriotic agenda to continue to oppress the state and keep our people in perpetual poverty with the ‘consolidation of a convoluted economy powered by merchantile distribution of state resources’ and the ambition of the immediate past governor, Nyesom Wike, to run for a third term.”
