We will ensure a seamless transition of power – Ganduje
Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, the governor of Kano State, has pledged to oversee a calm and orderly transition to the New Nigeria People’s Party, or NNPP, which will take office soon.
Muhammad Garba, the state’s information commissioner, revealed this in a statement that he sent to us on Saturday.
According to him, the primary transition committee and other subcommittees are collaborating closely to ensure a seamless transfer.
Garba rejected the NNPP’s allegations that the departing administration is sabotaging the transition plan.
He clarified that the transition committee for the departing administration is gathering all pertinent data and information and that the committee for the next government would get the report when it is suitable.
According to Garba, the committee’s goal was to prepare for a transfer of power from one administration to another, not to further any particular philosophy.
He pleaded with the next administration to ensure a peaceful transition and stay away from any actions that would jeopardize it.
We said that Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has been charged with impeding the orderly transition by the New Nigeria People’s Party, or NNPP.
