Governor Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has asked Nigerians to support Bola Tinubu, the country’s next president.

Wike claimed that now the elections are done, Tinubu needs assistance in maintaining effective administration.

After his Friday meeting with Tinubu at the Defence House in Abuja, he addressed the media and made the appeal.

Seyi Makinde, the governor of Oyo State, was with Wike.

Wike stated that because the results of the elections have already been announced, it is imperative that all Nigerians join together to support Tinubu.

“I’m confident that Tinubu has what it takes to turn Nigeria around, and everyone is waiting for May 29 when he will be sworn in.”

Makinde also vowed to assist Tinubu in establishing a good government.

“I came here primarily to honor the President-elect and to inform him that the election is done and that government has begun.

Makinde declared, “We will try our best to give him support for good governance.”

The Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) G-5 integrity committee, which worked against the party’s presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, included Wike and Makinde.

During the most recent presidential election, both governors endorsed Tinubu of the All Progressives Congress or APC.
