Gospel Artist Finds Music Inspiration While Driving
Rev. Fr. Benedict Onyemechalu, a gospel musician and Catholic priest, claims that when he is driving, his creativity is born and that it gives life to his songs.
The artist, also known as FadaBen in the music industry, revealed where he got his inspiration on Sunday during an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria in Abuja.
In addition to serving as the parish priest of St. Andrew Catholic Church in Orozo, Abuja, FadaBen is a prolific songwriter and music producer, having worked on several recordings, according to NAN.
FadaBen, who just dropped a new album titled “The Magic is in You,” revealed that he enjoys driving and that most of his songs originated when he was on the road.
“I enjoy driving a lot. For me, driving is a creative outlet that gives birth to ideas and many other things. It’s also a pleasure.
“I get to get home with nothing less than a song or two, depending on the distance covered, the minute I drive with that laid-back attitude.
“I think that human beings are creative beings. All of us are creative beings from birth, but some of us never get to experience that until after we pass away.
“While some, like some of us, get to discover and explore theirs early enough, others get to connect to their creative selves at the evening of their lives,” stated FadaBen.
He emphasized that for him, music is a means of expressing himself, and that he becomes quite restless until he gets his musical thoughts out.
“Once the inspirations or ideas strike, I see them as God wanting to use the special gift and sound He has given me to minister to some people,” the man stated.
Digital streaming services such as YouTube, Apple Music, Spotify, Deezer, Audiomack, Boomplay, SoundCloud, and others, according to FadaBen, offer access to the majority of his tracks.
You may find all of them by just searching for “FadaBen.”
The cleric stated that he wishes to see FadaBen become well-known around the world in the next five years as he pursues his music career.
“I want my music and sounds to reach places I never thought possible.”
