Prof. Umar Garba Danbatta, the Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC), led a group of the Commission’s senior executives on Thursday as they paid condolence visits to the families of two well-known Nigerians who recently died away.

The relatives of the recently deceased Jamil Ahmed Salim, Registrar of Bayero University, and the late Alhaji Musa Gwadabe, former Minister of Labor, were visited. Both men passed away in Kano.

Danbatta offered condolences to the bereaved families and prayed for the departed’s souls during the visits. He praised the late Alhaji Musa Gwadabe and the Registrar of Bayero University in Kano as patriotic Nigerians who made significant contributions to the nation’s growth in a variety of ways.

He contends that the nation as a whole suffers when such brilliant brains are lost, in addition to their families. He advised the families to find comfort in the knowledge that their loved ones lived admirable lives and made lasting imprints in the sands of time, nonetheless.

“We are deeply saddened by the news of Alhaji Musa Gwadabe’s passing and the loss of the Registrar of Bayero University, Kano,” he added. They were outstanding Nigerians who significantly influenced the growth of our beloved nation. They are going to be sorely missed.

We hope that the All-Powerful Allah gives them eternal life and provides their families the strength to endure the irreparable loss, he continued.

The grieving relatives of the deceased thanked the NCC leader.

The Vice Chancellor of the BUK, Prof. Sagir Adamu Abbas, had a similar visit from the EVC, who was also thanked for the visit.
