This was stated by Kwankwaso on Saturday in a now-viral video.

In March 2020, Sanusi, who ascended to the throne during Kwankwaso’s final tenure as governor, was deposed by the departing governor, Abdullahi Ganduje.

He was exiled from Kano and transported to the outlying town of Loko in Nasarawa State.

Ganduje also divided the Emirate into five parts and installed equal-status emirs.

Kwankwao, though, said, “We have campaigned, and as you know, we are well-liked throughout Nigeria, particularly in Kano state. We are back, and God willing, we will carry on the wonderful job our government left behind.

They will be pursued by the new governor and his staff.
