Inuwa Appoints Ibrahim Isa as Director-General of Gombe Media Corporation
Ibrahim Isa, a seasoned journalist with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), has been chosen as the Director-General of the Gombe State Media Corporation (GMC) by Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya.
The governor’s decision was announced by Professor Ibrahim Abubakar Njodi, Secretary to the State Government (SSG), who said that the post is effective right away.
Isa has an impressive resume that includes working as a reporter, producer, newsreader, TV host, and media manager over the course of more than 20 years, he said.
According to Njodi, Governor Inuwa expressed faith in Isa’s leadership, thinking that his depth of expertise will support GMC’s expansion and improve its ability to deliver timely and correct information to the public.
Governor Inuwa has appointed Ishiyaku Babayo Mohammed as a Special Adviser on the same portfolio, in addition to Isa, who was formerly a Senior Special Assistant (SSA) on Development Partners Coordination.
The SSG stated that Mohammed’s remarkable accomplishments, extraordinary dedication, and efficacy during his time as SSA are reflected in the decision.
